About Dr. Enck-Wanzer

There really isn’t all that much to me. I’m a pretty simple guy with a strong, personal commitment to radical democratic practices. There -- I said it. I was born and raised in western Washington state. I went to the University of Puget Sound pursuing a B.A. in communication. After four years there, I made the difficult decision to leave the Pacific Northwest and pursue graduate studies at Indiana University in the (then newly formed) Department of Communication and Culture. In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with my partner, hanging out with friends, playing with my dog and/or cat, geeking out with my Mac (I’m a zealot; I’ll admit that), and smoking cigars.

If you’d like to see my complete curriculum vitae, check out the attachments at the bottom of this page.
I also own and run a website devoted to the Young Lords. I’m not
planning to update it very much until after the book is out, but it’s a presence that will grow. Please go to
http://younglords.info to see more.
